Santa Baby - final version

My other project for today

The daycare kids were cutting coffee filters for snowflakes.  I showed them how to hand cut paperdoll chain but told them I don't do it that way anymore because I have a cricut.  So this is what I made to show them.

Today's project

Saw this at my craft store.  Pretty simple, just took a little bit of time.

Daycare tree and ornaments

So I finally have the daycare tree up.  Now it's time to make some ornaments for it.
We started today with these super simple rosettes.  They are kind of addicting.  Fun to make.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Our first snow of the year.  Started last night.  5.75" when this was taken this morning.

Halloween Goody Bags

So this year I went the easy way.  I had my Daycare kids decorate their goody bags then I filled them.  We just used the Celebrate It bags from Michaels and some self adhesive foam Halloween shapes from Walmart.
They had fun and I think they did a great job.

First Shape Book

This is the first shape book I have ever made. I followed along with Lisa aka Bugjunkie last year when she did the tutorial for everyone. I had so much fun and discovered a new love

I made a card today. For a really simple, simple card, it took forever.

And I made a big mess.

My cartridge storage shelf

This started out life as an ugly brown shelf.  With a little paint it is now an ugly while shelf.
It is perfect for cartridge storage.  I got it (snagged for free my an old house on my parents property) and had no idea how I was gonna get it to fit in my craft room.  I don't have any wall space left.  Well a little bit of pondering and a little bit of shoving things around and ta da it fits next to my file cabinets. My charming husband added casters for me so I could pull it out for full access.

Monday Nite Football

Kathy over at Paper Phenomenon had a Monday nite football Ustream class tonight.  She made a cute little clutch from $1 cards and evelopes.  I didn't have cards that matched so I used pattern cardstock.  Paper is from DCWV Flower Shower and here is my project.

This album came out much fatter than I had anticipated.  Seems like they always do.  Cover also needs to be stiffer than what it is but too late now.

Memories

This is my girl and her first horse. Originally bought for both of us....but a girl needs her own horse. And yes there is a cast on Rachels leg.

Her is my girl with her Grandpa.  Here he is 81 years old.

Here she is all ready to go on her own.

Stuff

When we come into this world we don't have any stuff, but come naked and we are a angry about being disturbed and taken from such a nice warm place.  Now our parents knew we were not going to have any stuff so they bought us some stuff and put it in a special room to hold our stuff.  As we grew older, we got a lot more stuff and needed dressers and closets, and places to keep our stuff.  Sometimes if our stuff got borken - we would get new stuff.  When we got to be teenagers, we got jobs and had money so we could get more stuff, and we got a lot of stuff.  Some of our stuff by that time was old, too small, or broken and so we got rid of some stuff, but quickly replaced it with more stuff.  Then we got married and brought our stuff together with another person's stuff and got a lot more stuff.  As we grew older we got better  and better jobs and promotions and boy could be buy stuff!  We got cars and boats and lake cabins and more places to put stuff.  When we retired from the office the gang at work gave us stuff to remember them by.  As we grew older our house and cabin at the lake were filled with stuff but it seemed we could always find room for more stuff.  Oh, we had some the most beautiful stuff and we even used banks and things to store some of the stuff.  We has red stuff and green stuff and big stuff and small stuff.  We had stuff in the garage, the bedroom, the living and dining rooms and lots of places.  We gave our kids more stuff and we found lots of occasions to celebrate by giving more stuff.  Then one day, much to our surprise, we died and we didn't need anymore stuff....and now someone else has to get rid of all our stuff.
